MOR

MOR is an electronic art-pop band based in Utrecht, NL.
Started by Polish artist Sofinka with producers James de Jong
and Marie de Koning, MOR is about painting stories.
Raw and naked to the bone.
Using electronics, layers of vocals, synthscapes, and poetic
words in both English and Polish, they create a world in which
the unspoken dares to scream. Every synth texture and vocal
layer is carefully sculpted, making their songs feel like
living, breathing organisms. Waves of dark sadness, deadly
anger and hope that smells like spring. Extreme fear and
extreme strength. Dreams and birds and skin.

MOR is a journey to discover one full, true, honest self.

FIVE MORE NIGHTS

'Five more nights' is the fourth single by electronic art-pop band MOR, based in Utrecht, NL.

After 'O wielkich oczach', 'Znowu nie uratowałam świata', and 'It will bloom', it marks the next step in the journey towards the band's debut album, 'Into an absence of space'.

The song, that played a big role in the defining of the band's early sound, reflects on a feeling of constant failure, dread and the frustration of things not getting better.

After the soft vocoder introduction, the band launches into a powerful, rhythmical section, defined by experimental synth bass and intense drums.

In conveying their message in this song, MOR is not afraid to make choices that confront the listener, to really make them feel the hopelessness, the discomfort that the song speaks of.

IT WILL BLOOM

'It will bloom' is the third single of MOR's upcoming debut album 'Into an absence of space'.
Following 'O Wielkich Oczach' and 'Znowu nie uratowałam świata' this song marks the bilingual band's first English release.
The guitar driven song, coming together with woody percussion sounds, eventually trails off into a vocal ostinato, in which the band is joined by the voices of the people who supported them through their crowdfunding campaign in the making of their debut album.
‘It will bloom’ is the first, eye opening moment of realising your own power and ground.
Because I can build my own castle and it will bloom.

‘Znowu nie uratowałam świata’ is the second single by electronic art-pop band MOR, based in Utrecht, NL.

Following 'O wielkich oczach', the first single, ‘Znowu nie uratowałam świata’, meaning 'Once again I did not save the world' present a different side of the band.

With a steady arpeggiated synth as the main engine of the song, ‘Znowu nie uratowałam świata’, pushes continually and anxiously forward.

The song takes you through abstract dreams, running through different worlds and thoughts and nightmares where wolves and sinister people turn out to be less scary than your own self image.

O Wielkich Oczach is the first single of MOR's upcoming debut album 'Into an Absence of Space'.
The song reflects a specific feeling of anger, that comes with realizing that nobody took care of your past self.
The song is a dynamic balance between fragile guitars and loud, synth-driven anger.
The song tells its story through the slow destruction of birds, and honest poetic Polish words.
For fans of Björk and Aurora.
No birds were harmed in the making of this song.
